According to the announcement, the West Indies will play a three-match ODI series against the Netherlands on May 31, June 2 and June 4.

The West Indies will play all three matches in Pakistan on June 8, 10 and 12.

The statement said that the tour will be the first one-day series between the two teams to be played at the VRA Cricket Ground in the Netherlands.

All three matches in Pakistan will be played at the Pindi Stadium in Rawalpindi and both series are part of the ICC One-Day Super League where teams have to earn important points to make it to the top seven.

Apart from host India, the top seven teams will directly qualify for the Cricket World Cup 2023.

West Indies have added three new players to the squad for the crucial series, including fast bowler Jaden Sales and Sherman Lewis, as well as batsman Casey Carty.

According to the statement, both fast bowlers Sales and Lewis have experience of playing at Test level but Carty from St. Martin has been selected in the senior team of West Indies for the first time.

West Indies selector Desmond Heinz said: "We are impressed with Carty because of the way he plays and the many times we saw the essence of his ability in the matches against President England by President XI earlier this year.

"We hope that by giving them this opportunity they will be able to recognize the importance of representing the West Indies and that these are tours where they can assert themselves," he said.

"We have a group of the best young fast bowlers who have shown their talent and we want to give them both tours as an opportunity in 50 overs matches," the selector said.

"We will be in the Netherlands for one week and the next week in Pakistan where they will face standard bowling and we have to prepare the team for the Cricket World Cup 2023," he said.
