US National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan has contracted the corona virus and was due to attend a Group of Seven (G-7) meeting with US President Joe Biden next week.
National Security Council spokesman Adrian Watson said Jack Sullivan, who had no close contact with President Joe Biden and had no symptoms of the corona virus, was infected with the corona for the first time.

According to the White House, Jack Sullivan met with Senegalese Foreign Minister Isata Tal Sal at the White House on Friday.
He also had a four-and-a-half-hour face-to-face meeting with China's top diplomat Yang Jiechi in Luxembourg on Monday.

However, it was not immediately clear if Jack Sullivan's travel plans would be affected after the Corona test.
The White House announced last week that Joe Biden would travel to southern Germany for the G-7 summit and to Spain for a NATO summit in late June.
