President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that I think there is no problem in appointing the Army Chief ahead of time.
The former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government had extended the tenure of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa by 3 years in 2019. He will retire on November 29 after completing the second three-year term.
The reason for the ongoing political crisis in the country is sometimes attributed to the appointment of the Army Chief.
