2nd T20: Babar tips batsmen to play better against England

After Pakistan's defeat in the first match of the International Twenty20 series against England, captain Babar Azam has advised the batsmen of the national team to play a better game.

According to a report published in the Dawn newspaper, the celebration of the return of the England cricket team to Pakistan after 17 years ended when the national cricket team was defeated by 6 wickets in the opening match of the international series of 7 T20 matches.

England's victory has raised fresh questions over Pakistan's weak middle order as the national team suffered a setback despite a brilliant start from the openers.

Keeping this failure in mind, the captain's advice to the national team to play better in this series, which is being considered as a warm-up for the T20 World Cup next month, seems right.

After the match defeat, Babar Azam said, 'Our batsmen need to play better, the way we played the first power play was very good, after 10 overs we felt a swing in the pace, credit to him anyway. England have to give, we don't have such big partnerships'.

After the dismissal of Babar Azam during the 10th over, Pakistan could only add 72 runs and England achieved the target of 158 runs in the last over with 4 balls to spare.

Babar Azam's fellow opener and vice-captain Mohammad Rizwan top-scored for Pakistan in the first match with 68 off 46 balls.

He acknowledged that the national team's struggle is still on and the best partnership is yet to be identified ahead of the World Cup.

In the post-match press conference, Mohammad Rizwan told reporters that some changes are being made, we are trying to create a partnership in the batting line-up, while some mistakes are bound to happen.

He said that "I think it is not appropriate to criticize at this time, we are trying to find a solution before the World Cup".

Mohammad Rizwan dismissed criticism of Pakistan's middle order, saying it was his and Babar Azam's consistent form as a partner that was denying other batsmen at the crease time.

"It is true that we are facing a few difficulties today but keep in mind that Babar and I have been getting more time at the crease which has not given the middle order a chance, but I am sure that We need to improve the strike rate'.

Mohammad Rizwan believes that the middle order has been unfairly criticized after some disappointing performances in the Asia Cup, but the team management still has faith in him.

Mohammad Rizwan said that the middle order failed in only 2 matches in the Asia Cup which is giving a false impression that the middle order is facing difficulties, I am sure and we all have confidence that the middle order will perform when needed. '.

The second T20 between Pakistan and England will be played at the National Stadium Karachi today. It is expected that the National Stadium will be full of spectators for the second T20 of the series. It was resounding with slogans.

On the other hand, the England team also gathered a lot of praise, which impressed opener Alex Hales, who has returned to international matches after 3 years, his 53 runs off 40 balls helped England to take the lead in the series.

However, this is not the first time that Alex Hales has played cricket in Karachi, Alex Hales has played here 15 times for Karachi Kings and Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League.

Talking to reporters after the victory, he said, "I have played in stadiums full of spectators in Karachi, but this is something different, it is a side of the best atmosphere in world cricket."

"To come back and win after being out of the international team is a feeling one could only dream of," said Alex Hales.
