 YouTube has announced a new revenue stream for content creators under the Partner Program.


 YouTube announced the expansion of the monetization system and at the same time announced new ways of income for content creators under the partner program.


 According to the statement, the program could involve more creators and include new ways like shorts, reimagining the music industry and for creators to earn through advertising in their videos.

YouTube said that the initiative is providing revenue opportunities to more than 2 million partners and will provide more opportunities to creators.


 According to YouTube, creators working on shorts from 2023 can also apply, but they must achieve a target of 1,000 subscribers and 10 million shorts views within 90 days, including all short and Long-form videos include monetization through advertisements.


 Long-form video creators can now apply to join the program after reaching 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours.


 YouTube said it has announced a first-of-its-kind revenue-sharing model for short-duration videos as well.


 According to the statement, in 2023, the platform will transition from a fixed fund and doubling down on shorts to a unique revenue sharing model for existing and future creators.

 Creators will be able to keep 45% of the total amount allocated to them while the remaining amount will be distributed based on the overall shortwave and this portion of the income will remain constant.


 YouTube has said it will also introduce Creator Music so creators can tap into a catalog of music for their longer videos and buy licenses for high-quality music.


 Creator Music is currently in beta in the US, with a global expansion in 2023 that will also provide creators with a streamlined process.


 Google's Regional Director for Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka Farhan Qureshi said that this new initiative is another step towards a successful and financially secure future for creative minds through YouTube shorts.


 Today's announcement, he said, is a reflection of the diversity of the platform's growing community where users promote their content on the platform through YouTube's lucrative new system.
