In the important match of Asia Cup 2022, Pakistan's bowlers performed brilliantly, Afghanistan broke the dangerous ambitions of the openers and limited the rival team to 129 runs for 6 wickets in the scheduled overs.



In the match being played in Sharjah, Babar Azam won the toss and decided to field first against Afghanistan.

Both the Afghanistan openers made a confident start against the Pakistani bowlers and took a cautious approach in the first over, but Rahmanullah Garbaz hit two consecutive sixes in Muhammad Hasnain's over to bring the score to 20 runs.

Haris Rauf came to bowl the fourth over, but on the third ball, Naseem Shah dropped an easy catch on the boundary, giving Hazratullah Zazai a valuable chance.

Haris gave a great blow to the Afghanistan team on the fifth ball and blew the wickets of Rehmanullah Garbaz, who had performed well in the previous matches.

Rehmanullah Garbaz scored 17 runs off 11 balls with the help of 2 sixes in Hasnain's over.

Mohammad Hasnain also faced difficulties in his second over, where he had to endure a wide ball as well as a four.

The Pakistani bowlers put the Afghan team in serious trouble by dismissing both the openers and on the second ball of the 12th over, Karim Jannat was caught by Mohammad Nawaz by Fakhar Zaman.

Karim Jannat scored 15 runs off 19 balls with the help of a four.

Najeebullah Zadran showed dangerous ambitions by hitting Shadab Khan for a towering six in the 14th over, but the leg-spinner did not give him an open berth and was caught out by Fakhar on the last ball.

Captain Muhammad Nabi came in to bat at number five, and Naseem Shah was called to bowl the 15th over, who blew the wickets on the first ball of the Afghan captain.

When Mohammad Nabi was dismissed for zero, Afghanistan's score was 91 runs.

Ibrahim Zadran tried his best to revive the struggling Afghan team, but Haris Rauf limited his innings to 35 runs, for which he faced 37 balls.

Zadran's 37-ball innings of 35 runs included 2 fours and a six.

Rashid Khan did not score any runs on the first two balls of Haris Rauf in the last over, but he hit a six on the third ball while playing a beautiful shot and hit a four on the next ball to advance the team's score.

Afghanistan scored 129 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted overs.

Rashid Khan scored 18 runs and Azmatullah Umarzai scored 10 runs without getting out.

On behalf of Pakistan, Haris Rauf took the most 2 wickets while other bowlers got one wicket each.

Earlier, after winning the toss, Babar Azam said that the pitch is looking good and the batting will be favourable.

He said that no changes have been made in the team for the important match against Afghanistan.

The Afghanistan captain said that they will try to score big by batting first, there have been good matches in the past and they will not repeat the mistakes that happened that time.

He said that two changes have been made in the team.
