The police have said that a 10-year-old girl was killed after being raped in Akhtar Colony area of Karachi.
According to the report of maknews-21, Mehmoodabad police said that the body of a young girl was recovered from her house in Kashmir Colony, who was strangled to death.
SSP Sharqi Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi said that the 10-year-old girl had marks of torture on her neck.

The little girl's body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) and the police sought permission from the family for the post-mortem.
Later, Police Surgeon Samia Syed said that preliminary results of the post-mortem show that the 10-year-old girl was brutally raped.
He further said that the deceased girl had multiple injuries on her neck and signs of being tied to something, indicating strangulation.
He said samples have been obtained and sent for chemical analysis to determine the final cause of death.

Swabs have also been obtained for DNA profiling and cross-matching, the police surgeon said.
SSP Sharqi said that the victim's family has suspected one of the tenants, a 16- or 17-year-old boy.
Police said that the youth has been taken into custody and investigation is on.
Extortionist arrested
On the other hand, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the police conducted a raid near Osmania Restaurant in Shah Latif Town and detained 2 accused Muhammad Asim and Noman on the charge of extortion.

SIUK SSP Arif Aziz said that the arrested accused had demanded Rs 7 crore from the president of All Karachi Fresh Milk Wholesalers Association Muhammad Jameel.
The suspects in custody were ex-employees of a dairy farmer.
The accused were arrested with the help of technology on the first day of the extortion call.
