Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the whole nation knows the current situation of the country, people know who are doing politics even today, people are angry with politics over floods, they will take account when the time comes.



Speaking during the federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that this disaster was caused by climate change, while Pakistan is not to blame for this climate disaster. Suffered a massive disaster.

He said that United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres said in clear and categorical words that the world must do its responsibility against the problem of Global North and Global Warming.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Antonio Guterres spoke heart-warming words about the situation in Pakistan, such an interpretation of Pakistan's problems was hardly done by any foreign official.

He said that Antonio Guterres became his spokesman during his visit to Larkana, where he became the spokesman for millions of Pakistani brothers, he said that the message of empty sympathy and expressions of solidarity are not enough for the Pakistani people. Actions need to be taken practically at this time.

He said that immense injustice has been done to Pakistan which should be rectified.

Shahbaz Sharif said that such things are worthy of consideration from a person holding an important position, he is grateful to him for the feelings he expressed for the suffering humanity and the crushed people.

The Prime Minister said that after such a conversation came out from a person who himself is the Secretary General of the Muttahida Movement, I request all the cabinet members to work for the flood victims along with their responsibilities. Do, fulfill your responsibilities to suffering humanity.

He said that the cabinet members who are participating in the relief work, I salute them, those who are not working now should also go ahead, people will always remember the time who came to help them. And who did not come, they will remember who sat in the cold rooms of Islamabad, who went on walks and who shared in our sufferings.

He said that he thanks the cabinet members for their efforts but requests them to contribute more.

Shahbaz Sharif said that in 2 to 3 weeks this water will recede, then people will settle in their homes. People who are doing politics even today, people also know them.

He said that the silence of people does not mean that they do not know anything, their silence does not mean that they cannot express their anger, sorrow and pain, the time will come when they will realize this. Will also take account and give congratulations.

He said that during the recent devastating and deadly floods, there has been widespread destruction across the country.

Cabinet meeting chaired by the Prime Minister

According to the Prime Minister's Office Media Wing, the Federal Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was held in Islamabad on Tuesday, the Prime Minister welcomed all the cabinet members.

In the meeting, the inquiry report on the issue of overbooking of pilgrims on the government quota was discussed. The committee formed on this issue included representatives of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Religious Affairs and State Bank.

The court was told that there were misunderstandings in the case of overbooking and no evidence of malice was found. The amount has been paid.

The Prime Minister directed the Finance Ministry and the State Bank that these banks must be asked why they acted carelessly in this matter.

He directed the State Bank of Pakistan to allow the banks in flood-affected areas to continue their operations even on holidays.

The Federal Cabinet approved the Interior Ministry's summary of accepting requests for joint legal assistance from countries with which Pakistan has no written agreement regarding legal assistance.

Summary rejection of increasing drug prices
The federal cabinet has rejected the summary of increasing the retail price of 10 medicines by the Ministry of National Health, Regulations and Coordination.

On the recommendation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Federal Cabinet has approved the extension of the minimum energy performance standard for electric fans till June 30, 2023.

However, the Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Science and Technology to make every effort to improve the minimum energy performance standard before June 30, 2023.

The Federal Cabinet approved the decisions taken by the Cabinet Committee on Legislative Affairs in its meeting on September 2, 2022, including the approval of amendment to Rule 13 of the Biostudy Rules 2017, approval of amendment to Section 15 of the Immigration Ordinance, prohibition of gas theft.

 Approval of Amendments in Holding and Recovery Act 2016, Approval of Amendments in Service Rules on the post of Secretary of Abandoned Property Board, Incorporation of Solar Equipment, Electric Motors, Power Transformers into Pakistan Standard and Quality Control Authority.

The Federal Cabinet approved the decision of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) in its September 8 meeting to sanction Rs 54 crore for the purchase of essential food items for the flood-affected utility stores, Pasco among local agencies. and approved allocation of imported wheat stock.

During the meeting, approval was given for the transfer of money for the purchase of equipment, salaries and functioning of 3 Pakistani hospitals in Afghanistan, and 3 billion rupees was approved for NDMA to provide relief to the flood victims.

In order to further improve coordination between the provinces regarding wheat price determination and urea distribution in the country, the Prime Minister has appointed Federal Minister of Finance Miftah Ismail, Minister of Food Security Tariq Bashir Cheema, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Faisal Sabzwari, Prime Minister. Adviser on Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira and Trade Minister Syed Naveed Qamar were given the task.
