At the 74th American Television Awards (Emmy), actress Zendaya once again won the lead actress award for her outstanding performance in the 2019 drama Euphoria.
According to the showbiz website 'Variety', Zendaya became the first-youngest black actress to win two consecutive Emmy Awards.
Surprisingly, she had won the same i.e. lead actress award two years ago at the age of 24 for her outstanding performance in the same drama 'Euphoria' and at that time she became the youngest actress to win the said award.
And now, two years later, she has been awarded a second lead actress award for the same drama, making her the first-youngest black actress to win two Emmy Awards.
The Emmy Awards ceremony took place on September 12, where Zendaya took home the lead actress award, the first time an Asian actor was awarded the lead actor award.
According to Reuters, the main actor award was given to actor Lee Jung Jae of the Netflix web series 'Squid Game'.
The award for best drama was given to the HBO series 'Succession', the award for comedy series went to 'Ted Lasso'.

'The White Lotus' won the Best Limited Series award while the director of the same drama also won the Best Director Award.
The best writer award went to the writer of 'Succession', the best comedy actress award went to Joan Smart while the comedy actor award went to Jason Sedex.
A total of 25 categories were awarded at the Emmy Awards ceremony.
