Former national team captain and middle order batsman Shoaib Malik has criticized the national team's defeat against Sri Lanka and said that when will we get out of the culture of likes, dislikes and friendship.

In the final match of the Asia Cup played yesterday, Sri Lanka won the honor of becoming the Asian champion for the sixth time by defeating Pakistan.

Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first and at one point the Sri Lankan team lost half of the team for just 58 runs but due to the excellent batting of Bhanuka Rajapakse and Vinandu Hasaranga along with Pakistan's poor fielding and drop catch. The Sri Lankan team managed to post a total of 170 runs on the scoreboard in the allotted overs.

In pursuit of the target, Pakistan's batting line suffered the worst failure and Sri Lanka won the match by 23 runs and took the title.

In the match, where the angry fans criticized the cricketers for the poor performance of the national team, the current and former players advised the team to learn from their mistakes, while some cricketers also said sarcastic words about the team.

Former national team all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez congratulated Sri Lanka for their victory and advised the Pakistan team to learn from their mistakes.

He said that the Pakistan team should learn from their mistakes in the Asia Cup and think tanks should take quick decisions to form the best team for the T20 World Cup.

On the other hand, Shoaib Malik, the middle order batsman who has lost the favor of the selectors in the national team, said that when will we get out of the culture of friendship and likes and dislikes, Allah always helps the true people.

Former wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal responded to Shoaib Malik's tweet and said, "Teacher, don't be so truthful."

It should be noted that during the event, Pakistan's middle-order batting continued to suffer from failure due to which questions have been raised regarding the team selection and the team's preparations for the World Cup. A proposal was also made to make him a part of the national squad for the World Cup.

On the other hand, the vice-captain of the national team Shadab Khan said that I accept the responsibility for this defeat because I disappointed the team but the whole team worked very hard.

Congratulating Sri Lanka for winning the Asia Cup, the all-rounder said that there were some very positive things in the tournament and our entire bowling attack including Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf and Mohammad Nawaz is outstanding.
