In the petition, Pervez Elahi said that he was the unanimous candidate of PTI and Pakistan Muslim League for Punjab Chief Minister and during the election in the House, police personnel in civilian clothes entered and violated the sanctity of the House.
He said that these people pushed our women members of the Assembly, which caused a commotion in the House.
Pervez Elahi alleged that during the same summer, Hamza Shahbaz ordered his members of the provincial assembly to kill Pervez Elahi.
He said that on the orders of Inspector General (IG) Police Punjab, under the supervision of SP Imran and SP Mustansir and SHO Farooq, 200 to 300 armed police personnel carrying batons entered the house violating the sanctity of the House. Attacked with intent to kill.
Pervez Elahi said in the petition that on the orders of Hamza Shahbaz, Rana Mashhood took a stick from the police and struck it with a stick which hit my right arm and my arm was broken.
He said that Jahangir Khanzada hit Aamir, a member of the provincial assembly, with a stick and he too was injured.
It may be recalled that a new Chief Minister was being elected in the Punjab Assembly after the resignation of former Chief Minister Usman Bazdar where the atmosphere in the House was tense even before the formal commencement of the session.

Meanwhile, a scuffle broke out between the government and opposition members. A heavy contingent of Punjab Police along with SSP operations reached the Punjab Assembly to control the situation.
Pervez Elahi, who was present in the assembly, accused the PML-N of bringing the police into the house and said, "This is the first time in the history of Punjab that the police have come into the house."
After the commotion, the Deputy Speaker left the Assembly while the spokesperson of the Punjab Assembly said that the sitting would not be adjourned till the voting.
Later, anti-rights activists in bulletproof jackets entered the house through the old gate of the Punjab Assembly. Police removed the members of the Provincial Assembly from the speaker's dice and took control of the speaker dice.
On the other hand, during the commotion in the House, Chief Ministerial candidate Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi also fell victim to the commotion and was injured in the violence and was taken out of the House.
